Algebraic Geometry Seminar

I will explain how to recover the classical Gauss-Manin connection via a construction which applies more generally to derived de Rham cohomology and its variants. Using this, I will give proofs of some of the main structural properties of derived de Rham cohomology and its relationship to completions, recovering work of Bhatt in characteristic zero.
