Departmental Colloquium
by Ben Antieau (Northwestern University)
I will give an introduction to algebraic K-theory and review what is known about the K-groups of some rings like rings of integers in number fields. Then, I will discuss the modern perspective on the motivic filtration for possibly singular schemes. Finally, I will explain my joint work with Achim Krause and Thomas Nikolaus which gives an algorithm to compute the motivic filtration and hence the K-groups of rings like Z/p^n.
