In this talk, I will try to explain a new emerging theme in K\"ahler geometry which relates the study of Calabi-Yau metrics with optimal transport. I will then describe some recent developments on the regularity theory of optimal transport and how it may help us better understand the geometry of Calabi-Yau metrics. Based on joint works T.
