One-day University of Toronto conference supporting math educators to build student confidence and engagement in mathematics.
The annual Count Me In! conference is a free professional learning event for in-service educators interested in strengthening student confidence, engagement, and identity in mathematics. Rooted in a partnership between the Department of Mathematics and the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education (OISE) at U of T, the program supports teachers in exploring research-informed instructional approaches that foster positive and inclusive mathematics learning environments.
Conference sessions are led by faculty from the Department of Mathematics and OISE, alongside curriculum leaders from local school boards and beyond. Through workshops and collaborative discussions, participants will engage with practical classroom strategies designed to support meaningful mathematical learning and reduce barriers to student participation and confidence.
