Why is a tree like a vertebrate? Solutions to problems in enumerative combinatorics can often be mystifying - a sequence of manipulations with generating series and then voila - the answer. We will uplift the veil by means of the trending concept of “categorification”! Every operation on generating series, such as addition, multiplication and substitution, will be provided with a visualization. The apotheosis of the talk will be a neat enumeration of trees. No prerequisites required!
