"A practical handbook for the actor" is a reviled book that provides a baseline acting technique for the beginner. Its ironclad rules are tedious, onerous, burdensome, difficult to implement, but ultimately useful.
I will introduce this framework in the context of preparing lectures, courses and problem sets. It provides a way to critically evaluate the purpose and usefulness of every aspect of your course.
If we have time I will also discuss my recent experiences with Peer-instruction lectures.
