The dimension theory of Kleinian limit sets has a long and interesting history. In the geometrically finite case, the Hausdorff and box-counting dimensions coincide and are given by the Poincaré exponent of the group. The Hausdorff dimension result goes back to pioneering work of Patterson and Sullivan in the 1970s and 1980s. I will discuss recent work concerning the Assouad dimension, where the presence of parabolic points greatly influences the theory.
