Complex Henon maps are a special case of polynomial automorphisms of $\mathbb{C}^2$ and are central objects in the study of holomorphic dynamics in 2D. We give a crash course on the dynamics of Henon maps and discuss recent progress on Henon maps with a semi-indifferent fixed point.
